Choral Workshop

Sunday 25 February 2pm at Wentworth Falls Public Shcool, Falls Rd., Wentworth Falls

Presenter: Réka Csernyik, Sydney Conservatorium of Music

All welcome, no experience necessary.  Come along and enjoy an afternoon of singing, brush up on your aural and music reading skills, and share a delicious afternoon tea with us. Réka is one of our foremost experts in Kodály pedagogy and aural musicianship.

'Mozart's Requiem'

Saturday 24 March at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith, at 8pm with Penrith Symphony Orchestra

Conductor: Paul Terracini

This concert is one of Penrith Symphony Orchestra's subscription series of concerts. We are joining with Penrith City Choir and Warrimoo Chorale to form the chorus for this sublime work.   For further information about the PSO 2018 Concert Season, click here.  






'Music for Palm Sunday'

Sunday 25 March 3pm at St. Hilda's Anglican Church, Katoomba
Sacred choral music for Easter, with the Kedumba Quartet and accompanist Margo Adelson

Directed by Paul Terracini

Composers include Giovanni Palestrina, Johann Sebastian Bach, Thomas Tallis, Edward Bairstow and others and an arrangement of the traditional Irish hymn 'The King of Love' by Paul Terracini.





'Gospel and Broadway'

Sunday 17 June, 4.30pm at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, Katoomba

Directed by Paul Terracini;  Keyboard - Jane Andino;

Special Guests:  Blue Mountains Youth Choir

A selection of traditional African American Gospel songs arranged for mixed voices, as well as some favourite evergreen songs from Broadway shows.  Composers include Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, Jerome Kern and Cole Porter.

Joseph Haydn's 'Little Organ Mass' is the centrepiece of this concert of music for choir and organ, with other composers including Karl Jenkins, Arvo Pärt and César Franck.

School Holiday Workshops for Kids      Bookings Now Open!

Dates:  Thursday 11 to Saturday 13 October, the second week of the NSW School Holidays.
Venue: Mid-Mountains Community Hall, Lawson

These workshops are open to all boys and girls age 9 to 16 who enjoy music and singing.

Blue Mountains Youth Choir welcomes Paul Jarman back to the Blue Mountains for another of his fun-filled choral workshops for children. Paul has achieved world-wide acclaim for his composition, conducting and teaching of music, especially with a focus on our younger generation.  The workshops conclude with a concert for family and friends on the Saturday. Thursday and Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm, Saturday 9.30am to 1.30pm including the concert. Cost $120, sibling discounts apply.
